05 MAY 09

Tuesday 090505

Ten rounds for time of:
3 Weighted Pull-ups, 45 pounds
5 Strict Pull-ups
7 Kipping Pull-up

For weighted pull-ups place a 45 pound dumbbell between the legs above crossed ankles and jettison the dumbbell after third rep and continue with strict pull-ups and then the kipping pull-ups. Coming off the bar or going to ground constitutes termination of a set.

Post time and number of sets to completion.

  1. Penn - 16:11, 18 sets (first 4 rounds with 45# last 6 with 25#)

    Evan - 16:11, 18 sets as Rx'd

We just switched off so our time was basically the same.

  2. I remember last time this posted I actually tried to do a pull-up with 45#... and failed. I did 1 with 30#, but I don't know if I would have enough time in the day to complete this workout even with a reduced weight.

    Good on you guys!

  3. For fat people this workout is bullcrap. I will not do it in any case. Did the front squats instead. Hopefully tomorrow brings a more palatable workout.

  7. Did Elizibeth instead because I got called out by one of my guys. 21-15-9 squat cleans and ring dips. Did it in 7:28, that workout always sucks.
